Scholarship Zone is a mixture of creation of understanding through links and resources. The website hosts a scholarship drawing on it’s front page and seems to have an easily accessible website. The information form for the contest is very small and hard to read, but it does not cost

anything to register and the only requirement is that you are currently eighteen. Once registered, you’re directed to a page which gives access to at least a dozen links to other very reputable scholarship websites. This is important as I discovered upon exploring the webpage that there are not really any scholarships posted here at all. Despite this, there are other things here that are very useful.

Clicking on the “Loans 101″ tab will pull up helpful articles on loans, a loan finder, and a lot of information on how to avoid them all together. Among this info is the federal student aid website and various links to register and receive information on grants. The “Find Schools” tab will send you directly to courseadvisor.com. This separate website had me input my information before creating a portfolio of schools that would suit my interests. It then gave me the financial aid available at each school to aid me in my decision. I found this relieving as I had a blunt and honest view of what could or could not be covered financially by an institution. Finally, there is a “Laptop Search” tap which directs you to a full Ebay search of laptops directly designed to be used by college students at reasonable prices. I do not like the fact that I was sent to Ebay because I would rather buy directly, but since the website seems to have a unified purpose of saving money for college students this selection seems to make sense.

Overall, the full website was quite useful. Although it’s title is not really a direct reflection of it’s content, I believe this website does concisely bring together many college related needs and resources to assistant them. This webpage’s emphasis seems to be on saving money and providing information. It does fairly well on both subjects although some searching, registering, and time may be needed.
